Job Description
The project requires high-level Unix Engineers, who will be providing mission support to a ground based signals analysis system. Duties include pre-mission system HW/SW prep, mission support activities include operator interfacing, system monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, and repair of HW/SW failures, post mission support includes analysis, troubleshooting, and repair of HW/SW failures, compilation and analysis of mission and system metrics, develop status reports, make system and operations improvement recommendations to customers and OEM. Provide support to customer on variety of system issues including HW/SW upgrades, operational use and analysis, and other contract directed tasking.
Job Qualifications
The position is onsite at the customer location. This person should have excellent written and verbal skills and be able to work within a small team. Must have hands on experience with:- Extensive Unix experience
- Cisco networks UN workstations, SGI Servers, Solaris OS, system admin experience
- PCM/ATM Telco maintenance, FDDI networks, proficient in the use of network analyzers (Tekelec), OScopes, Logic analyzers.
- Additionally, Candidates with the following Skills would be IDEAL:
Real-time processing VME processors maintenance, VOIP, IRIX OS, C/C++ skills, signals analysis background, Fireberd LAN/WAN analyzers.
