Title: Web Master/Apache Server Technician
Location: Charlottesville, Virginia
Clearance: TS/SCI clearance required.
Job Description
Environment: large central/3 remote sites (web based) = 5 security boundary networks (class based), Sun Solaris 10, NETAPP NAS, ATL Veritas tape backup, GB Fast Ethernet Backbone; desktops = 3000 PC's WIN XP, 2003 Server, and AD + 200 SUNS running Solaris 10. Duties: Work on a team administering client websites for Solaris and Apache web servers: Understand J2EE concepts, especially the Jakarta Struts framework; Have language proficiency in:-HTML 4.x (familiarity with the IC metadata standard a plus);
-Cascading Style Sheets (CSS);
-Java 1.4.2;
-Java Server Pages (JSP), spec. 1.x and 2.x;
-Java Servlets, spec. 2.x.1- Familiarity with the UNIX operating system and Apache web server. At least one shell scripting language or PERL; Competency with XML and all of its derivatives such as Really Simple Syndication (RSS), version 2; Competency with JBOSS. Basic web site administration and troubleshooting.
Technical training on above systems and software.
5 to 10 years system administration and general website administration.
